Here it is, the controversial Vogue cover featuring NBA star LeBron James and supermodel Gisele Bundchen. This morning, Peter Alexander reported on the controversy, followed by Ann Curry's interview with CNBC's Donny Deutsch and humorist/TV commentator Nancy Giles. WATCH VIDEO The cover has caused a lot of chatter, particularly online, over whether the shot (taken by famed photographer Annie Liebovitz) perpetuates racial stereotypes. Some look at the cover and don't think much of it, that it's an interesting shot of two of the world's most recognizable people. |

The alt-rock legends have filed a lawsuit against their old record label, accusing Virgin of unlawfully using the Pumpkins' name in a promotional campaign for Pepsi Stuff, a new partnership between the soft-drink purveyor and Amazon.com. The suit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court Monday and obtained by E! News, claims the record giant breached its contract with the group by featuring the Pumpkins' name and tunes in various advertisements, thus jeopardizing their credibility with fans and compromising their "artistic integrity." "In addition to the unauthorized exploitation of name and likeness, Virgin, without any authority to do so, permitted Amazon and Pepsi consumers with free, or at a greatly reduced price, digital copies of Plaintiff's musical works through Amazon's website, in exchange for the purchase of Pepsi products, or "Pepsi Stuff," states the complaint. |

Britney Increases Sitcom's Audience |

No matter how strangely she has behaved lately, it seems Britney Spears still managed to attract an audience for her highly anticipated sitcom appearance in “How I Met Your Mother.” The show reached its highest ratings ever, with 10 million viewers tuning in to watch Spears’ attempt to revive her career. Even though she appeared on screen for only about four minutes, Spears changed clothes eight times. The costumes that the pop star wore in all the scenes will be auctioned on seenon.com. The star’s Nanette Lepore cardigan with blue flowers is currently leading the auction at US $3,001.00. Apparently, the pop star tried to be more stylish on this occasion, giving up her usual boots and ripped fishnet stockings. She played the role of a shy receptionist, wearing big eyeglasses, who falls in love with the main character, Ted, played by Josh Radnor. |
